The four checks that matter

Is this stopover for you?

The hotel price is useful only after the itinerary, transit window, entry permission and room availability all line up.

01

Eligible ticket

A confirmed Qatar Airways or qualifying code-share booking.

02

12–96 hours

The stop in Doha fits the official program window.

03

Entry is clear

Your passport and nationality allow you to enter Qatar.

Then

Check rooms

Packages remain subject to hotel availability.

Do not confuse a paid stopover with transit accommodation. Qatar Airways also has a separate transit-accommodation process for some 8–24 hour connections when no immediate connection is available. Eligibility, fare conditions and possible fees are different.

The practical details

Frequently asked questions

Use these answers as a planning summary, then confirm changeable terms on the official pages.

01What is the Qatar Airways Stopover program?+

It is an official hotel-package program for eligible Qatar Airways or code-share travelers transiting through Doha. It is separate from simply having a connection and separate from Qatar Airways transit accommodation.

02How long must the Doha stopover be?+

The official stopover offer currently states a minimum transit of 12 hours and supports stays of up to four nights, within a 12–96 hour transit window.

03How much does a Qatar stopover cost?+

The published Standard package starts from USD 14 per person for one night, based on two people sharing. Other tiers, extra nights, breakfast, transfers, tours and availability change the final total.

04Do I need a visa to enter Qatar?+

That depends on your nationality and circumstances. Many nationalities can enter visa-free, but immigration authorities make the final decision. Verify current requirements before booking a non-refundable package.

05Can I collect checked baggage in Doha?+

The official terms state that checked baggage cannot be collected during transits under 24 hours. Pack medication, valuables and overnight essentials in your cabin baggage.

06Can I add the hotel after booking my flight?+

The official guidance says eligible travelers may add a hotel through Discover Qatar after booking. Availability and eligibility still need to be validated against the booking reference.
